Help Households Become Hubs of Regenerative Climate Action.
Every contribution directly supports households and communities to grow nutritious food, restore soils, and transform organic waste into opportunity.
Your support directly funds:
- Vertical Gardens: Materials, soil, seeds, and tools to establish fully functional RLGs in homes, schools, and refugee communities
- Training Local Residents: Hands-on workshops for households and refugees in regenerative gardening, composting, and biochar
- Community support: Mentorship and follow-up guidance so gardens thrive and adapt long after planting
- Demonstration sites: Central RLG sites that train new communities and inspire replication
- Impact tracking: Measuring food production, soil health, and waste reduction to keep improving and share what we learn
When you support RLG, you're funding a direct investment
in household resilience and ecosystem regeneration.
With just one vertical garden, a household gains daily access to fresh food, restored soil, and a platform for long-term resilience. Multiply that across neighborhoods, and your contribution becomes a network of households regenerating ecosystems and building community capacity.

Why your support matters right now
Across Sub-Saharan Africa, households are navigating overlapping crises — food insecurity, malnutrition, degraded soils, and climate shocks — not as future risks, but as daily realities. Families face uncertainty from heatwaves and floods to simply accessing fresh, nutritious food. These challenges compound each other, and they need solutions that do the same.
In 2026, your support helps RLG to simultaneously:
Open a research & demonstration garden at Makerere University Agricultural Research Institute
Establish 50 new RLGs across homes, schools, churches, and community spaces in Kampala
Pilot RLG in two refugee settlements in Uganda
— Kyaka and Nakivale
Train 400 people from diverse communities to build gardens and grow their own food
Create 40 jobs through regenerative garden systems within our networks
Form 10 strategic partnerships to accelerate impact across Sub-Saharan Africa
CASE STUDY
“Before this garden we struggled to buy vegetables. Now we harvest from our home.”
Esperance Yamufashije is a mother of two in Kampala. Before joining the Gayaza Neighbourhood Garden, buying fresh vegetables was a daily struggle. Now she harvests organic lettuce from her own RLG — and prepares it for her children at home.

How do I know my donation will be used for a Regenerative Life Garden?
“RLG publishes an annual income and expenditure account, which could be made available upon request and approval of the advisory board members.” People who contribute the full RLG, get monthly updates about it.
Can I see updates on the projects I’m supporting?
Yes. We aim to provide updates through our newsletter, including stories from the families, schools, and communities where RLGs are active. You’ll see the gardens grow, the impact on people’s daily lives, and the ripple effects across communities. Subscribe to our newsletter here and join our mailing list here so that you do not miss out on important and timely updates. We also release an annual impact report to all stakeholders and supporters.
Is my donation one-off or can I give again later?
All donations are one-off, but you are warmly invited to support again whenever you are able. Each contribution helps a new garden grow and creates cascading benefits for households and ecosystems.
Can I cancel or change my donation later?
One-time donations are fully applied to the projects you choose to support, so no cancellation is needed.
Are there any fees taken from my donation?
A minimal processing fee may apply depending on your payment method, but 100% of your donation after fees goes directly to supporting RLGs and the communities they serve.
